Do you charge
entrance fees?

No, we do not charge entrance fees.
Entrance to the market is free.

Are dogs allowed?

Yes, all dogs on-leash are welcome.
As it’s a public place, please be mindful
and considerate of other marketgoers
and clean up after your pet. 

Is there an ATM available? 

Yes, there is one ATM located on
the estate. A Standard Bank
ATM is located near the public toilets,
close to Life Retreat.

Is the market
weather dependent?

Unless the weather is unusually extreme,
our market is open every Friday from
17:00 – 22:00, and every Saturday from 11:00 – 16:00 & Sunday from 11:00 – 16:00.
Even though the market
is outdoors, it has a roof that covers all our
vendors, the stage and most of our seating.
The roof also has built-in misters to keep
us all cool on hot days.

Is there a kids area/entertainment? 

The communal kids’ area at the Lourensford Market is located at the back of the market and offers plenty to keep younger visitors entertained. The play area features a jungle gym, suitable for children aged 3 to 10. Children should be supervised by a parent or responsible adult while using the facilities. The interactive fountain and surrounding grass area remain hugely popular with little ones, especially during the warmer summer months. For more activities, Artjamming offers creative experiences and refreshments for children aged 3 to 10, while archery is available at the Clay Pigeon Adventures Hub. Elsewhere on Lourensford Wine Estate, families can also enjoy Padel courts and Putt Putt. There is also a kids stall within the market selling novelties, toys and sweets.

What is Lourensford
Estate’s policy
regarding picnics?

Unfortunately, no private picnics are
allowed on Lourensford Estate. On Market
Days, marketgoers are welcome to buy
breakfast, lunch or dinner from the market
and to enjoy it in the surrounding gardens.
Some seating is provided but you are
also welcome to bring your own blankets!
All food and drinks must, however, be
purchased at the market. Please be mindful
of other marketgoers and the environment
and use the bins provided to recycle
any waste.

How much is parking?

Parking on Lourensford Estate costs R30
per vehicle. Drop-offs* are allowed at no
charge. Cash, SnapScan and
Credit Card payments are welcome.
*Exit within 40min of entry to qualify
for the free drop-off.

Can I book a table?

Due to the informal seating arrangements
at the market, we unfortunately do not take
table bookings. To secure a table for you
and your friends, it would be best to come
early to avoid disappointment! For more

How do I become a vendor?

If you would like to become a vendor at our
market, please fill out our online application
form here. Our market management team
will get back to you within 3 weeks of
receiving your application if there is a
suitable space available for your type of stall. 

What is the average
cost per stall? 

The cost per stall varies and depends on
factors such as size, location, type of trade
etc. It would be best to fill out our online
application form.

at the market?

Yes, we are.

What payment options
do vendors offer? 

Most of our vendors offer card
and SnapScan as payment options.
There are also ATMs located on
the estate.
